Otherwise known as single knockouts with playoffs for all positions, Progressive Knockouts offers all participants a fairly similar amount of matches, regardless of whether they win or lose.

Ideal for larger draws where it is necessary to offer players more bang for their buck, Progressive Knockouts play out for all positions, ultimately in sections of 8:

  • Premier division for positions 1 to 8
  • First division for positions 9 to 16
  • Second division for positions 17 to 24
  • Third division for positions 25 to 32
  • Etc.

In the above scenario, 9th position will be known as First division winner, and overall 27th place as 3rd place in the Third division. Which sounds better, right?
